“There was a big earthquake yesterday morning in Napa, CA, which seems so far away somehow. Yesterday I spent the whole day with Glenn mostly to see a show of abstract painting at the Clark but the real highlight was going to Eleanor Roosevelt’s house, Val-kill, an inspiring place because of the way she valued life and the lives of all others.
